what is the hrd corp levy?
If your company pays into HRD Corp, that money is already yours. It is a small slice of payroll, usually around 1%, set aside every month for staff training.
Think of it as prepaid training money. You put it in each month, and you get it back when you train your team. Many companies forget it is there.
can we claim?
If your company has 10 or more Malaysian staff, you pay this levy by law. Companies with 5 to 9 staff can choose to join. Either way, if you pay in, that money is yours to use for training.
Almost every private company is covered now. Retail, food, construction, schools, clinics, services. If that is you, the fund is likely sitting there already.
Not sure of your status? Your HR or finance team will be able to clarify immediately.
How it works, in four simple steps
1. We agree on the training your team needs. We can co design it with you.
2. We apply to HRD Corp for you, and get it approved before we begin.
3. We deliver the training.
4. HRD Corp pays us from your levy. In most cases your team pays little or nothing out of pocket. We handle the paperwork from start to finish.
That is it.
